Terms of Service

FreelanceOS is a productivity and business management platform for freelancers and small businesses. It provides tools including client management (CRM), project tracking, task management, note-taking, document storage, and optional Google Calendar synchronization.

• You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without authorization.

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law or regulation
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or harmful code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or our systems
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
• Use the Service to store or share illegal content
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service without our written permission
• Abuse the Service in a way that causes undue burden on our infrastructure

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without notice.

You retain ownership of all content you create within the Service (clients, projects, tasks, notes, documents, etc.). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the Service to you.

We do not claim ownership of your data and will not use it for any purpose other than operating the Service as described in our Privacy Policy.

If you connect your Google Calendar, you grant FreelanceOS permission to read, create, update, and delete events on your Google Calendar on your behalf. This integration is entirely optional and can be revoked at any time from Settings → Google Calendar → Disconnect.

Our use of Google Calendar data is governed by our Privacy Policy and adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

You may delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger Zone → Delete account. Upon deletion, all your data is permanently removed within 24 hours. This action is irreversible.

Stripe billing records are retained as required by financial regulations (typically 7 years), independent of account deletion.

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice where possible.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreelanceOS shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new “Last updated” date and by sending an email to your registered address for significant changes.

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your country of residence.
